“We are so proud to have Daikin as such a wonderful community partner and incredible member of the Waller ISD family since opening its state-of-the-art facility in Waller in 2017,” WISD Superintendent Kevin Moran said.
“Daikin supports our students and community through countless volunteer opportunities and events. This sponsorship will be a daily representation of Daikin’s commitment to our schools and community, and we could not be more thankful for their partnership and support.”
Daikin currently works with WISD on several initiatives to enhance learning opportunities and real-world experiences for students districtwide. This includes support of the brazing program at Waller High School (WHS), which features career development and employment opportunities for brazing students; funding of scholarships for graduating WHS students; donation of supplies and equipment; tours and demonstrations for students visiting Daikin Texas Technology Park; sponsorship of an annual environmentally themed art contest for all five WISD elementary schools; and more.

The Daikin Japan Cultural Experience Program invites select WHS students to participate in a Japanese immersion program that culminates in a week-long visit to Japan with stops at Daikin’s global headquarters in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo to gain first-hand experience in the country’s lifestyle and culture.
“Being an active and contributing community member is a core principle at Daikin that starts with supporting the students, teachers, staff, schools and locales that are the bedrock of the community,” Daikin Communications Director Wendy Hall said.
“District stadiums are home to shared memories for communities throughout Texas and we are thrilled to be part of that special place for the WISD family.”
Renovation projects at the stadium are underway, with new signage scheduled for installation during the upcoming school year.

An official Daikin Stadium inauguration ceremony will be planned during the school year for the WISD family and community to celebrate this incredible partnership.
